Opened in 1934, Newport Bridge is a vertical lift bridge, designed to carry road traffic while still allowing vessels to pass up the Tees when the span is raised. Dusk is the perfect time to film it – the steelwork stands out, reflections start to form on the water, and the whole scene feels properly Teesside.
