Hagit Refa'eli was an amazing woman, daughter, sister, and mother of three. She was Ph.D. in science education and a natural leader of her community. She was a teacher and manager of a program to assist Jewish Ethiopian teachers in entering the school system.
Hagit and I met when I was 14, and she was 23. She was my instructor and planted my love for the land of Israel, its geography, and its stories. These formative years under the gracious hands of Hagit helped me in my adult life - to pursue my professional career as a tour guide.
Hagit was killed by the Palestinian terrorists in their atrocious attack on October 7th, 2023, in which 1,500 Israelis were killed, many of whom were innocent civilians, including her.
I will never forget you and will always love you.
