Candidates blocked railway tracks, halted train movement and raised slogans, leading to hours of chaos. Reports of vandalism also emerged as authorities rushed to the spot. Police later fired three rounds in the air to disperse the crowd and restore order.

Additional security has been deployed, while special trains and alternate travel arrangements have been made for candidates.
