To perform a customization like this on your own knife all you need is a way to wash your knife either with soap or rubbing alcohol and some mustard. You can use a paintbrush if you want to make a design that's a little more intricate. And the process takes about half an hour but if you want to leave a blade with a mustard on even longer you can let it sit for several hours and clean it off later but there will be more Brown rusting taking place but it all is very shallow and can be removed simply by scrubbing with a plastic brush or just by using your fingernails and some soap. Always oil your blade after something like this to prevent the rusting from continuing.
