The Brothers Grimm included their own German version, "Thumbling” in their 1812 collection after hearing it in oral tradition. Tales of tiny heroes appear across many cultures, but Tom Thumb remains the most beloved, his small stature matched only by his enormous heart.
This is the first of three Tom Thumb tales that I’ll be reading.
