This is the second video I filmed during the 2025 Summer Diesel Day at the Downpatrick & County Down Railway, organised by the Irish Traction Group.
We were all invited to walk down to the path that runs alongside the railway line just outside of Downpatrick, as there were a number of runpasts arranged for us to photograph / film.
The first of these runpasts came as a complete surprise, as speeding round the corner was none other than C.I.É. Wickham Railcar 713, which is a former inspection vehicle built in 1962.
This was cool to see as this is rarely seen in action due to not being used on passenger trains.
