US Navy detonated 18,143 Kg explosive to test a warship. The blast was so powerful that it created magnitude 3.9 earthquake. The US Navy has started a series of tests on its newest and most advanced aircraft carrier. It conducted the first of three in-water blasts to determine whether the ship is ready for war. The USS Gerald R Ford's shock trials was being conducted off the Florida coast of the United States, in the Atlantic Ocean.
