(18 Jan 2017) From organized protests to supporters flying in across the country, Washington , D.C. is preparing for Friday's events as President-elect Donald Trump will take the oath of office and become the 45th President of the United States.
Organizers from the Disrupt J20 demonstration group say they will be protesting the entire day of Trump's inauguration with a 'massive showing of resistence' to send a message that they will not put up with the 'threat' the Trump administration poses for their community.
Meanwhile, supporters of Trump have traveled from Tennessee to Massachusetts in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the historic moment.
D.C. police agencies are well into preparations of building fencing, removing trash cans and creating perimeters to ensure the safety of the large crowds expected for Friday's events.
