REGION IX - ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA || PHILIPPINES

Описание: Zamboanga Peninsula (Cebuano: Lawis sa Zamboanga.; Chavacano: Peninsula de Zamboanga; Filipino: Tangway ng Zamboanga) is an administrative region in the Philippines, designated as Region IX. It consists of three provinces (Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga del Sur) including four cities (Dapitan, Dipolog, Pagadian, Isabela) and the highly urbanized Zamboanga City. The region was previously known as Western Mindanao before the signing of Executive Order No. 36 of 2001. The city of Zamboanga was designated as the regional center until Pagadian was designated as its new regional center, although Zamboanga City remains the region's cultural, commercial, economic, and educational center.

I am Reymund Lara from Passi City, Iloilo, Philippines. I am an elementary teacher and I have been teaching for more than a decade. I was able to visit China in 2018 under the 52nd ASEAN Young Leaders Training Program together with delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. From September 2020 to May 2021, I was a Tagalog Teacher at a private university in Spokane, Washington State, USA under the Fulbright Scholarship Program. As a teacher, I have noticed that there's a need for the kids and adults alike to learn our language and culture as Filipinos.
