Spreading Rock for Driveway (Rolling out Geotextile)
FINALLY!! We are getting ready to close on the construction loan, only about 6 months after I was done with the primary dirt work and ready to start.
Anyway, my fair weather road needed an upgrade to support the heavy truck traffic that is set to commence with concrete and materials delivery trucks coming in.
Today I rolled out about 400' of geotextile fabric and spread just over 140 tons of limestone road base material. The result is a much more reliable access road about 20' wide and 200' long on the approach up to the slab. This should let us commence building without worrying about whether or not it rained the day before. As long as it's not raining that day, we should be able to work.
