0:00 Ranking Shadow's voices

Voices Shadow in games 2010 to present, and in Sonic Boom from 2014 to 2017. I don't mind his presentation of Shadow, but it definitely isn't my favourite. Maybe it's how poorly Shadow's character has been written where he has voiced him that has something to do with it. He just sounds like he's emphasising too much on the stereotypical "edgy" side that Shadow's been given, and his performance of him has been stapled to that idea only. I have to admit that I think his best performance was definitely Sonic Boom, which I really do like to hear.

Voiced Shadow in games from 2001 to 2004. Shadow's first voice, and I believe the owner of the mannerisms he has been given in his tone in future casting, which I have to say I'm thankful of. He really brought Shadow to life on all the right perspectives in Sonic Adventure 2, and I have to applaud the way that continued, if not improved, in Sonic Heroes. I really wish he would have provided Shadow with his mysterious, determined demeanour that was really shown through his tone for a lot longer, because I think it truly showed the character we were looking for.
1:57 2. Ian Hanlin
Voices Shadow in Sonic Prime. I wasn't too sure about his performance in Season 1, unlike many other fans that praised him and crowned his work as the best Shadow voice immediately, but I think he really sculpted his tone into one made just for Shadow in Season 2. I didn't feel like it suited his character in Season 1, and didn't flow compared to the others, but Season 2 really spun my opinion around. His presentation of Shadow in general, and overall his ability to portray his reaction to the events in the show became astonishing, and made him shoot to second place on my list with that suddenly darker, smoother voice that suited Shadow spectacularly.
2:57 1. Jason Griffith
Voiced Shadow in Sonic X from 2003 to 2006, and in games from 2005 to 2009. My thoughts? He's basically Shadow as a human, and I believe no other human on this Earth would be able to pull off this role like he did. It was like his voice was made for Shadow, or Shadow was designed completely with his voice in mind - they were made for each other. He doesn't overdo that "edgy" stereotype, and only provides it in general when it's completely necessary, and gives it to us in perfection. The tone he used wasn't too dark, even when it became deeper for Sonic '06 (that and Sonic X I believe are where he was at his best) and was amazingly crisp - in short, perfect.
THE CONTENT SHOWN TO BACK UP MY RANKING ALL BELONG TO SEGA, AND SONIC PRIME BELONGS TO NETFLIX.
