Testing how much banding I would get on my 70D, by recording a timelapse using Magic Lantern's FPS Override and MLV RAW recording.
The camera itself was pretty cold after each recording, both externally and internally, reaching around 53°C, strangely enough, there was some sort of banding noise formed over the image in both cases.
I only tested it in low light, and have yet to find a ND filter or some way to test during daylight, but I guess it shouldn't have much difference.
Reproduction steps:
Enable FPS Override, set FPS in between 1.000 and 0.200, and the mode to High-Jello (only one that seems to work)
Enable MLV RAW video, I set it to maximum resolution, one test at 3:2 and another to 1.85:1, but didn't see much difference.
Close menu, start recording
Record around 20-30 minutes. In the first minute you probably won't see anything, by 5 minutes you may see some noise bands on the image, by 10-15 minuets they get more visible, 20 minutes and over they are very visible.
