Kapil Seshasayee is an Art Rock / Indian Classical / R&B musician and visual artist from Glasgow, Scotland. His debut LP - “A Sacred Bore” is a concept album about the oppression of the Indian caste system both in India and its diaspora. A high profile collaboration between Kapil and Rap legend LIL B against caste was profiled by The Guardian and Rolling Stone India in 2021. Kapil has amassed a number of high profile collaborations and commissions including a rework of a Ravi Shankar composition to commemorate his 100th birthday for BBC Asian Network, an interpretation of songs by Ivor Cutler for a performance in Glasgow Royal Concert Hall alongside members of Mogwai and Belle & Sebastian and recently a new project alongside Astrid frontman Willie Campbell for climate change conference COP26.
