"Meet Up" on Lake Wheatley (Gilbert Run Park)

Описание: From May 13, 2023: Today was the first time on the kayak in a good while. Life has been busy, so it was nice to get out on the water and slow down. My original plan was to paddle the perimeter of the lake using a ultralight rod to find some sunfish and then turn to some more finesse fishing. I ended up meeting Ronnie of the Southern MD Bass Hunters (from Facebook) and we got into the largemouth bass pretty good. Check it out.

Tackle used: 4'6" ultralight Micro Series rod by Shakespeare with a small "Profishency" reel with 6# test monofilament line tied to a jig spinner (Beetle Spin) with a 1/16 oz jig and a "Christmas Tree" grub by ‪@YUMBAITS‬ .
5'6" ultralight rod by Shakespeare with a Shimano Sienna size 1000 spinning reel with 8# braided line from Strike King with a size 1 hook with a Gary Yamamoto Senko (green pumpkin)

Conditions: overcast skies with slight rain (but no much), air temperatures in the mid to upper 50's with NO breeze. Water clarity was about 2 ft.
