INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5-14-25 2:38 am
LOCATION: Garnet Ave & Fanuel St.
AREA/CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:
Firefighters responded to a traffic accident and found that it was a “Hit & Run” on a fire hydrant.
The hydrant was sheared off, and water was shooting between 80-100 ft in the air.
Garnet Ave and Fanuel St were shut down while the firefighters worked to shut off the water flow.
After approximately 25 minutes, the water flow was stopped.
SDPD is investigating the incident.
