Moga News : ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਲਟੀ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਰਾਤੋ-ਰਾਤ ਇਕ ਦਮ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੋਗਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਕ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਮੋਗਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਸਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜੀਰਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਲਾਟਰੀ ਸਟਾਲ ਤੋਂ 6 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਟਰੀ ਖ਼ਰੀਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਫੋਨ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਇਕ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਜਸਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਯਕੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਫੋਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੱਚ ਹੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਸਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਟਰੀ ਸਟਾਲ 'ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਲਾਟਰੀ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਕਰੋੜਪਤੀ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਇਕ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਟਰੀ ਨਿਕਲ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ। ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਸਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਢੋਲੀ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭੰਗੜੇ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ ,ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਲੱਡੂ ਵੀ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ।

ਜਸਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਟਰੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਅਜਮਾ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨਾਮ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਿਰ 'ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 25 ਤੋਂ 30 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੋਚਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਟ੍ਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਇਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ ,ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਉਤਾਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਪੈਸਾ ਖਰਚ ਕਰੇਗਾ ,ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਮੰਦ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

Jasmail Singh, a farm labourer from Punjab’s Moga district, bought a Rs 6 ticket of the state lottery while on a visit to Zira in Ferozepur district. Little did he know that this meager investment would transform his life for good. Jasmail, who is a salesman with a brick kiln, bagged a whopping Rs 1 crore as the prize money in the lottery. His winning ticket, bearing number 50E42140, was picked earlier this week.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Jasmail exclaimed on hearing the life-altering news. “Sharma ji phoned and asked me to check my number, you’ve won Rs 1 crore.” The news caught fire, and celebrations erupted in Jasmail’s village. People from the locality joined in as Jasmail and his family gave sweets, hit dhols, and danced on streets.

Jasmail’s family has been elated by the good fortune. “This money means everything,” he said. “I’ll use it to pay off a Rs 25 lakh loan and make sure my children have a future.” Jasmail has three children, one of whom is mentally challenged. He said he has longed for his deep desire to invest in their education and health. His wife, Veerpal Kaur, also reflected the sentiment, commenting, “We never thought this day would come. We are thrilled. We can finally give our kids the life they deserve.”

As per local shop owners, this victory is the fourth instance where an individual from Ferozepur district became a millionaire in the state lottery. Zira-based lottery agent Parvinder Pal Singh corroborated that the winning ticket was purchased from his shop and stated, “District Ferozepur has now seen four crorepatis win through the lottery.”
