The 16-year-old stowaway who survived a flight halfway across the Pacific is the talk of the aviation community.
At Southern California Aviation in the Mojave desert, mechanics work on Boeing 767s similar to the Hawaiian airlines jet the boy hopped on in San Jose.
General manager Jon Day says it's incredible the teen survived. He imagined the deafening noise of the wheel well, the acidic transmission fluid that coats the wheel well and the winds that whip by when it opens.
He says the boy would have to crouch down, curl up in fetal position and hang on for dear life.
