A lone lioness cannot reliably hunt a healthy adult giraffe due to the giraffe's size, speed, and powerful legs, which can be lethal. Hunting a giraffe is an extremely dangerous and rare event that almost always requires a coordinated effort from a group of lions working together to corner, trip, or overpower the prey.
