Frankie Lee was a blue eyed soul singer from Texas active from 1963 - 1967 (at least through those time as I’m going through his single releases)
He recorded his first single in 1963 with Bright Star Records and three years later he recorded with International Artists. And the year after that he recorded his final single with Pasino Records which also features a cover of Sterling Damon’s “My Last Letter”
Sterling Damon was a garage musician who recorded his only single with International Artists with “My Last Letter” being the B side. So Frankie must of heard the song while he was recording for International Artists (but that’s just my theory)
Apparently Frankie Lee once played trumpet with Elvis. However he is still an enigma
