Epic Secret Hike in Sigiriya feat. Lion Rock: Welcome to Sri Lanka

Описание: In this episode, Mali and I arrive in Sigiriya after a long and scenic drive from Kandy, eager to explore the famous Lion Rock. However, we quickly learn about a budget-friendly alternative that the locals recommend - Pidurangala Rock. At just $3 USD per person (as opposed to $39 USD per person), it offers an excellent option to experience stunning 360 degrees panoramic views of Lion Rock without the hefty price tag of the main tourist attraction.

With excitement and curiosity, we embark on the hike to Pidurangala Rock, which proves to be an extreme adventure. The hike involves some rock climbing and challenging terrains, but the reward is worth it. As we ascend higher, we are rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape and Lion Rock in all its majesty.

Reaching the top of Pidurangala Rock, we are left in awe of the panoramic view that unfolds before us. The sight of Lion Rock from this vantage point is simply awe-inspiring, and we take our time to soak in the beauty of the landscape below. Also - Mali is attacked by a monkey trying to steal from our backpack (we include a re-enactment because I wasn't filming at the moment).

We also learn about the history and significance of both Pidurangala Rock and Lion Rock, and how they are intertwined in Sri Lanka's rich cultural heritage.
