Inbound Marketing Tips - What is Inbound Marketing?

Hi, my name's Casey Lewis and today we're going to take a couple minutes to talk about inbound marketing, the inbound methodology, what is it. and how does it work.

Let's start with step one in the inbound marketing methodology which is the attract stage. In this stage what we're really trying to do is drive more traffic to your website and the best way to do this is by optimizing all of your site pages, by creating a content library, blogging, which gives you new, fresh content on a regular basis and by doing things like video, social media and other things that are going to draw and increase traffic to your website.

Let's talk step 2 in the process, the convert stage. In the convert stage, what you're really looking to do is to provide those visitors with helpful and useful information that they would be willing to exchange their email for. We do that by creating these content offers, having them on a specific landing page and on that landing page is a form and that form will contain fields to obtain their email information or other useful information to stay in contact with them.

Alright, so now let's talk about the third step which is "close". Once we have that lead we want to continue to move them through that buyer's journey until we close them out. We do this through a process called lead nurturing, it's to supply them progressive and helpful information that brings them from the awareness, through the consideration, and finally to the decision stage of the buying cycle.

The final step of the inbound methodology is the delight stage. The delight stage is where we stay in contact with our customers; we can use email, we can use CRM, we can also use social media, but the point here is stay in contact with them and continue to provide them useful and helpful information and they will become promoters of your company and for your product.
