Here is my new 4k time-lapse short film that I’m so glad to share with you all. Senescence is process by which everything ages and eventually dies, especially speaking about organisms and leaves. It’s a title that I chose grudgingly, because in my opinion, the Arctic Fall is when everything comes back to life. I am not saying the summer doesn’t bring its share of life, but the autumn time is when colors, shapes and phenomena spring out from a long slumber.

This year, I really wanted to focus on water reflection and foliage colors. I traveled about 2500 kilometers throughout the Troms region to get access to stunning spots. Fortunately, the month of September gave us incredible conditions weather wise, allowing me to get absolutely stunning northern lights. Also, we had a lot of calm nights with very warm air, allowing pristine star reflection in still water, and also a bit of fog!

For this reel, I also really wanted to up my motion control game, and although I haven’t used all the possible camera movements, I am still pretty amazed by some of the sequences using a ‘reveal’ or tracking motion. Also, I produced a total of 115 sequences, which equals 1.3 Tb of RAW images. I spent countless hours hiking and post-processing the images to come to a very satisfying result.
