This video is me telling the truth — all of it.
Not the highlight reel.
Not the Instagram version.
The real story.
I’ve closed hundreds of real estate transactions a year.
I’ve developed land.
I’ve designed homes.
I’ve built companies and invented products that are now used around the world.
And I’ve also gone bankrupt.
I lost everything — financially, professionally, and emotionally — and had to face myself in a way success never forces you to. The same bank that took me down is one I later went to work for, with FDIC approval, in an effort to help stabilize it. That season alone will test your faith, your humility, and your resolve.
After bankruptcy, I went to Montana with nothing but grit and faith. I staked a mining claim — and then had to sue the federal government in order to secure the lease on that claim.
I brought in minority shareholders.
Four months later, the property appraised at $60 million.
That’s when the lawsuits came — not because the project failed, but because it succeeded. The minority shareholders sued, asking a judge to force me to sell them additional shares at the original, pre-appraisal share price.
They didn’t win.
But they did get my name right.
From that season came the first idea for what became Tstud, followed by additional building technologies that would later be placed into a different company. As the work grew, pressure came to put everything under one roof. We did — and once again, minority shareholders appeared, and once again, lawsuits followed.
Two separate federal judges said the same thing:
Walk away. You are not getting the patents.
They didn’t win either.
Some walked away angry.
Some wrote checks.
And I walked away humbled, tired, and deeply grateful.
Today, I’ve given my shares to my kids.
I’m still standing.
I’m still thankful.
And yes — I’m still single, because life took me through fire, and I chose healing over hurry.
Here’s what I’ve learned through all of it:
Failure doesn’t disqualify you.
Hard seasons don’t mean God abandoned you.
And success will test your character just as much as loss.
I’ve always been a conservationist.
An ecologist.
A builder — not just of structures, but of ideas meant to help people live healthier, safer, more affordable lives.
I’m not a psychologist.
I’m not a guru.
I’m just an energized, imperfect man who refuses to quit and believes deeply in redemption, purpose, and responsibility.
If the good Lord ever decides to take me home, I want to know I left this place better than I found it — and that I shared what I was given instead of guarding it.
So if you’re watching this and you’re tired…
If you’re scared…
If you’ve lost everything…
If you feel ashamed of your past…
Hear this clearly:
You’re not done.
Your worst chapter isn’t your final one.
And God isn’t finished with you yet.
This video is my soul on the table.
If it helps even one person keep going — it was worth it.
Thank you for being here.
God bless you.
