For those that don't understand why I regularly drive a six hour round trip on an evening to see 90 minutes of football this may help. The atmosphere was incredible tonight. What an amazing match. Challenging for the quarter final place of the Champions League, Ryan Giggs making his 1,000th appearance for the club and Cristiano Ronaldo returning to his former home. What a reception for them both. What an amazing atmosphere. What an amazing game. Sadly spoilt by a crap referee, but it was a joy to be there till the teams walked off the park.
It's not on the video, but the roar Ronaldo got for the second time as he patted his heart and applauded the fans in the Stretford End as he went to the tunnel at the end of the game was immense! It would be great to see him back.
