I often drag my dad (and fly fishing partner), along to fish high mountain streams in Washington State for secluded and small rainbows. The average size of these fish is around 6 inches with the occasional monster rainbow measuring in at an eye-popping 12 inches.
In this year’s quest, I was eager to test out my brand new (now favorite) Sage “Little” One weight rod for its first test. It was also the first time for my Dad to try out his new GoPro Hero 5 camera and what ensued in this tiny, remote Washington stream was nothing short of a father-son flyfishing dream.

Note: We are big fans of catch and release and caring for these fish with only barbless hooks, a quick landing and efficient release for recovery on the fish we catch small or monstrous. Tight lines, save streams.
