In Tamil Nadu, migrant worker Suraj from Odisha suffered a machete assault by four teenagers on December 27 near Thiruttani railway station after harassment on a train, with the attack filmed and shared online. These incidents highlight a disturbing pattern of hate-driven violence against those perceived as "different," fueling demands for stricter action beyond political rhetoric.
