Fast read and write. Works with the loco running as well for easy speed matching and sound level setting.
I use the LokProgrammer to upload sound files and firmware updates, plus set the loco address. It's faster for copying a "standard" CV file to a new decoder as well. The rest is done on the main. "Read Full Sheet" on the CVs screen from an LS5DCC takes about 30 minutes for the 2,000+ CVs in a LS5DCC. Writing to CVs is as fast as reading them.
