The Red Dragon
Let’s begin by examining the Red Dragon described in Chapter 12 of Revelation. This fearsome creature has seven heads, each adorned with a diadem—a symbol distinct from a crown. While a crown is bestowed by others, the diadems belong to Satan himself. The seven heads represent seven kingdoms in successive order, indicating that all diadems are owned by the Red Dragon.
The seventh head is particularly notable, featuring seven horns that represent the kingdoms forming an empire. The largest horn signifies the leader of this empire, who is identified as the false Christ, 666.
Originally a fallen archangel, Satan became the ancient serpent in Genesis. After his rebellion, he was cast out of heaven, and just prior to the Rapture, he will be permanently expelled from heaven, descending to earth as the Sea Beast.
The Sea Beast
Next, we will explore the Sea Beast described in Chapter 13 of Revelation. This creature emerges from the sea following Satan's banishment from heaven and the Rapture of the Church.
Like the Red Dragon, the Sea Beast has seven heads. However, after the Rapture, the sixth head—a kingdom from the first century—loses its power and is described as having a fatal wound. The authority shifts to the seventh kingdom, where all ten kings in it possess diadems.
The first four kingdoms are depicted in Daniel Chapter 7 as a bear, which explains why the Sea Beast has bear-like feet. The last four kingdoms are represented as a leopard, influencing the Sea Beast's skin pattern.
The seven kingdoms correspond to the seventh head with ten horns, symbolizing kings, as noted in Revelation 17:11. The first five kingdoms had fallen by the first century when John witnessed these events. The sixth was in power at that time, while the seventh will emerge after the Rapture of the Church.
Satan will inhabit the Sea Beast, serving as his control center. The Bible refers to this entity as the eighth king, emphasizing that Satan is the root of the seven kings and controls them. Thus, the body of the Sea Beast acts as a repository for the kings.
The Great City
Finally, we will discuss the Great City that dominates the kings, depicted as a woman riding the beast in Chapter 17 of Revelation. After 42 months into the seven-year Great Tribulation, this city will seize religious power under the leadership of the false Christ, 666. However, the false Christ and his nine kings will ultimately turn against the Great City and seek to destroy it.
