On request from my dear student Aarthi’s loving paati 💕 Today I visited my dear friend for Golu Devi Navratri puja. Like every year, it was such a special occasion for me to immerse in the festive spirit, and of course enjoy the delicious home-cooked Tamil prasad.
After hours of chatting and catching up, just as my Uber was booked, paati sweetly told Aarthi in Tamil, “I want to watch her dance ya, we should have requested her to dance before! "
Paati is like such a special divine energy—so full of love, warmth, and childlike spirit. She pampers and blesses in every way possible.
I smiled and thought—wait, the cab can wait! The only thing that came to my heart after her request was our Odissi Durga Stuti. So I performed right there, until I got the call from the driver! 😂🙈 Throughout my dance, paati’s eyes were glued on me, her face glowing with priceless expressions—full of love and blessings. It was such a precious, soulful moment.
This year I don’t have a Navratri performance lined up and wasn’t even planning to go for garba. But Devi made sure I still danced for Her—thanks to Aarti’s loving paati. 🌸🙏
