Go behind the scenes with the team manufacturing the SKA-Mid telescope dishes! The first dish structure has been assembled at a test site in China, marking a major milestone in the telescope’s delivery.
It's the result of a collaborative effort by a team from China's CETC54, the SKAO and the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO).
This dish is one of four that will comprise the first stage of SKA-Mid construction, known as Array Assembly 0.5 (AA0.5), on site in the Karoo, South Africa.
