Their mission was silent, unwritten, and doomed.
They marched into a forest where shadows breathed and dead voices whispered.
There, they fought an enemy without form, without soul, without fear.
In the end, the Legion drove their Eagle into the abyss, sealing the rift and breaking the shadow.
None returned.
None were remembered.
Rome survived because the Ninth Legion was erased not defeated.
