And the food is like, hey, look, I almost wanted to put me something to the side. It's so good. But you know, we're here for the community and it's a lot of fresh food, uh, lots of meats and vegetables and desserts, bread. So yeah, we just here to just serve the community."

"Today was our first day being out since the storm hit the ground. Only time we came outside was to take the trash out. That was about it because we couldn't get out of our parking lot. So today is a plus that some of it melted and they got to come through certain areas and get up trees that we couldn't get nowhere from because the trees was down."

"My fridge had a modest amount of food. I didn't stuff it with things that would go bad. So that's fine. And like I said, I was kind of in front of it. So I had my stuff dripping. I mean, now my water doesn't get hot. The water, heat, or cold. But I mean I can still wash dishes and do certain little things in the house like the waters were actually running."

You know, we couldn't get up there. We did have to walk to the front of the apartments to get some of our food. So yes, ma'am, it's rough out there."

STORYLINE:
More than a hundred people lined up outside a church in Nashville, Tennessee in near freezing temperatures to get free produce, meats, bread and vegetables on Wednesday.
The line snaked around the parking of the New Season church in the north part of the city as people brought boxes and bags to fill with fresh food.
Pastor Dwayne Lewis, who is among the hundreds of thousands of people in Nashville who lost power due to the ice storm, said as power is being restored, many are returning to homes and apartments without any groceries.
"You got a lot of people that's refrigerators of food that's spoiled and gone, and now we're able to help them fill their refrigerators back up and fill their pantries up as well," Lewis said.
Inside the church, volunteers handed out bananas, lettuce, avocados, deli meat, bread, cheese and baked goods. Above their heads, the ceiling pounded where children were playing upstairs in a daycare.
Church member Marshelle Wright, and her daughter Johnrisha, brought out a box and grocery bags of food to take back to their apartment, which is currently without power and without water.
They have a generator to warm up food and they've been relying a little bit on food delivery, but only when the drivers could make it to their apartment building.
