I Went Home After 6 Years Away & Surprised My Mother

Описание: I live in Nairobi, Kenya. My Mother, a primary School teacher, lives in Sega some 450 Kms away.
Since 2017 I haven't come home, I tried to do so many times over the years but I just could not afford to come home.

At the beginning of December 2023, I'd already accepted that this year, like the last 5, I wouldn't be able to go home again. Things were not looking so good.

But at the last minute, I received help from many different spheres, even those I wasn't expecting at all. And the help I received made it just about possible to come home!

And so I did, still deciding to go home and actually getting there are two different things.

Travelling using public transport in Kenya has never been a walk in the park.

And travelling in December, when everyone else is doing so to get back to their families upcountry just adds more pain and injury to what is already a difficult undertaking at the best of times.

Still, after a strenuous journey, I made it home, and just in time for Christmas. Enjoy!
