Archaeologists from the Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) unveil their initial findings during the detailed excavation of Shakespeare's Curtain Theatre, which will be uncovered and preserved at the heart of The Stage – a new luxury development in the heart of East London.

The Curtain Theatre is one of Shakespeare's oldest playhouses dating back to the 16th century, and is said to be where Henry V was premiered, and where other timeless plays such as Romeo and Juliet were also performed.

Urban in design and convenient in location, The Stage will epitomise luxury living in the coolest residential district in London. Residents will be right in the centre of a flourishing cultural centre, which will be enhanced once the new Shakespeare visitor centre opens in 2021.

The Stage is a joint venture with Galliard Homes, Cain Hoy, McCourt, Vanke and The Estate Office Shoreditch.
