Here’s a fun technique for you guys—it’s called a Strainer Pour with cells, and it’s basically a way to make beautiful and intuitive art with a strainer. The cells start to form right away when white is mixed with silicone, you get cells in acrylic fluid art by adding a few drops of silicone.

Strainer Pour with cells is definitely one of my favorite techniques. The secret behind the cells, I will let you in, is paint consistency and silicone.

What you need for acrylic pouring - Basic Supplies

Acrylic Paint
Heat Gun
Canvas or wood panels
Medium - I used Floetrol or Liquitex Pouring Medium
Water - Very sparingly just a few drops, the right consistency is key.
Stirrers - I used plastic spoons
Cups - small
Gloves
Table cover
Blow drier - a regular hair drier will do
Tacks to place at the bottom of the canvas
Tape to keep the bottom of the canvas clean
