Описание: After our last episode visiting the famous Ooty Chocolate Factory, this episode begins on our final morning in Ooty.

We packed everything from our room and started our ride back towards Bangalore. Our original plan was to take the Masinagudi route, but things didn’t go as expected.

Before leaving Ooty, I noticed something surprising the previous day — a Padani stall. Padani is a sweet natural drink taken from palm trees. Normally palm trees are not found in Ooty, so it surprised me. Most likely it was brought from nearby districts like Coimbatore or Theni.

Even though my friends wanted to leave early because they had work the next day, I insisted that we should try the Padani before leaving. Finally we stopped there and tasted it. It was very sweet and refreshing, and they also served it with palm fruit pieces. Since this drink is only available during certain seasons, it was a special experience.

After that we continued our ride towards Masinagudi ghat road.

However, there were restrictions at the entry because many accidents had happened there earlier. The officials were allowing only certain local vehicles. After explaining our situation and some requests, we were finally allowed to continue through another connecting route.

Once we entered the Masinagudi ghat section, we understood why the restriction was there. The road was extremely steep, and vehicles had to descend slowly using engine braking. Without proper engine braking, brakes could fail due to overheating.

Every vehicle on that road was moving carefully using first and second gear only. It was a very intense but exciting riding experience.
