Описание: TD Film Studio, led by director and founder Tarunabh Dutta, concluded its 6th Onscreen Acting Workshop in Guwahati last year. The seven-day workshop was an offline event that specifically focused on camera-acting techniques, providing an introduction to the world of cinema for both new and professional actors.
Throughout the workshop, students participated in a series of scene rehearsals and mock-up scenes, with the goal of character development and putting the students directly in front of the camera. The results, according to Dutta, were impressive, with 11 students participating in total. The workshop also provided the opportunity for students to be cast in TD Film Studio’s next film project, which was a web series titled ‘Adhorua-Incomplete’. Shooting commenced from February of 2022 and continued for 3 months, with locations in and around Guwahati city.
One of the unique aspects of the workshop is its emphasis on working with amateur actors who have little to no experience in front of the camera. Dutta believes that if the participants are dedicated, hardworking, and honest, they can be molded into better actors over time and potentially become professionals. The workshop is also a platform for budding and aspiring talents to gain experience and create opportunities in the film industry.
In addition to hands-on experience, the workshop also provided an opportunity for analysis and feedback through mock shootings and detailed scene analysis. Videos were edited and uploaded to the on-screen acting YouTube channel, providing an avenue for actors to assess their own performances and identify areas for improvement.
Looking forward, Dutta and his team plan to focus on emotional performance and connecting with the audience through the profesionally produced film projects with their acting students performing all lead roles. Overall, the workshop serves as a valuable learning base and a platform for new and upcoming actors and actresses in the film industry.
