Ingonyama Trust Sites: An Introduction for Researchers

Описание: The Durban Research Action Partnership (D'RAP) hosted a seminar on Friday, 27 August 2021 to introduce the Ingonyama Trust sites in eThekwini to researchers to encourage more research to be done in these areas and answer related questions.

The speaker was Mr Bheka Memela, working with the Biodiversity Stewardship Programme at eThekwini Municipality on the Ingonyama Trust.

Topics covered included:
What is the Ingonyama Trust?
Where are the Ingonyama Trust Sites and how do they link to the broader biodiversity of eThekwini?
What makes these sites special/unique and how are they managed?
What is the planned future for these sites?
What needs to be done in terms of research/conservation and what can you do to help?

There was also a short discussion addressing general questions.
