A beat 'em up game by Capcom to take on Double Dragon. You play either Cody, Guy, or Haggar to resue Jessica, Haggar's daughter kidnapped by the evil Mad Gear gang set in the fictional metro city. It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up game where each player has a sets of standard moves like punches, kickes and jump kicks. But each character also has special attacks powerful enough to slam several enemies at once. But each special attack is executed, the some of the player's life is lost. Energy levels can be replenished by picking food they find like smashing telephone poles. Some of Mad Gear's weapon will drop a weapon when they fall. These weapons can be picked up and used by the player.
Released in the arcades in 1989 and later ported to the Sharp X68000 in 1992.
Played and recorded with messui 0.180.
Note: Great port of this arcade conversion to the Sharp x68000. This is probably the closest to the arcade than any other port. Level 6 has some graphical glitches due to the use of savestates since it is not supported yet although it works.
