The five major palaces of choseon is Gyeongbokgung, Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung, Changdeokgung, and Gyeonghuigung. Among them, Gyeongbokgung Palace is the most popular. However, the only palace that has been selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is Changdeokgung Palace. Among the five palaces, the original shape is best preserved, and the period actually used as a palace is the longest. If you want to experience Choseon's palaces properly, I recommend visiting Changdeokgung Palace more than anywhere else.
Changdeokgung (Hangul, 창덕궁, 昌德宮; literally, "Prospering Virtue Palace"), also known as Changdeokgung Palace or Changdeok Palace, is set within a large park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897). As it is located east of Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeokgung—along with Changgyeonggung—is also referred to as the "East Palace"
