Rigodon Royale is Zamboanguita,Negros Oriental’s version of Rigodon de Honor, a walk dance employed by the elite “to see and to be seen”. Popularized at the end of the century, the Rigodon reached its peak of its popularity during the commonwealth period in the 1930’s.

It must be composed of a line of Cabezeras or high or influential pairs of the town and the Costados or the less traveled or small Government Officials.
