Maragondon

Pantihan Falls, also known as Balayungan Falls, is a natural attraction located in Maragondon, Cavite, Philippines. The falls cascade approximately 50 feet into a deep catch-basin, creating a natural pool ideal for swimming and diving. The surrounding area features dramatic rock formations and dense forest, offering a serene environment for visitors. Accessing the falls involves a short hike from the nearest road, and the area is equipped with nipa huts for picnics and relaxation. The falls feed into the Maragondon River, formerly known as the San Diego River during the Spanish period. Visitors are advised to exercise caution, especially during the rainy season, as water levels can rise rapidly, and the area may become slippery.
