Leaders of European nations to be hit with new US tariffs have hit back at US President Donald Trump’s bid to annex Greenland, while protesters marched through the streets of Denmark’s capital Copenhagen in solidarity with the Arctic territory.
President Trump announced tariffs of 10 per cent on eight European countries including France, the UK and Denmark.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has slammed the US leader’s move as ‘completely wrong’ while French President Emmanuel Macron and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson vowed not to be intimidated by the White House.
