This is a video guide on how to re-tube your earmould at home.
The tubing in your earmould should be replaced every 6 to 9 months as it degrades over time, which can result in poor sound quality.
Many people prefer to make an appointment and have us fit the new tube for them, which we are more than happy to do. However, if you would like the convenience of doing this at home, please request some tubing from the department.
If you have any difficulty, or if the old piece of tube has become stretched, broken or is missing, please call us to make an appointment, so we can fit and measure the new tube to your ear.
Feedback and comments are welcome, however they will not be closely monitored and replies cannot be guaranteed. If you have a specific query, please contact the department.
Our telephone numbers can be found on your yellow patient card.
