Описание: This is another film I digitized direct from an 8mm film from lifter, historian, collector, Osmo Kiiha. The film was undated, though there was some information on my ironhistory.com that it is from 1955.

Bill Pearl has one of the best physiques of all times. He won Mr. America 1953 on his first try. He won Mr. Universe 5 times. 1953, 1956, 1961, 67, 71

Bill's physique matured over the years and his fans all probably have their favorite era. To me the 1950's Pearl, as portrayed in this video are as good as it gets. In the 1953 Mr. America, he did not win any of the Best Of bodypart awards, so he was surprised when he won the overall title. But to me that's Bill, he doesn't have the best of any one bodypart. He just fits together and flows better then anyone else.

Looking back on all that was written about him, you can't find a bad word, and everyone called him the same thing. A gentleman.
I met him and had dinner with him in 2010 and I can not argue with that.
A truly remarkable man. He passed away in 2022 at the age of 91.
