Unboxing video of a G&L ASAT Z3 (1998) in Candy Apple Red Flake equipped with Z-coil. Yeah, that's those oddly shaped pickups - I had never seen them until I got interested in this guitar! Explained by G&L like Magnetic Field Design Z-Coil pickups designed by Leo Fender himself.

To further quote G&L Guitars webpage: "These pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end while offering a robust bottom end, all without any 60-cycle hum." And yes, they are very quiet and you will hear that in the sound demo of this unboxing video. They are quite punchy and powerful but doesn't work too well with the really high gain sound I have tried so far (just a few!). But they provide a very distinct sound, very clear and sweet!

So in this unboxing video I have cut down on the opening to get to point faster and as stated also provided some sound demos (close to clean and crunch). Unfortunately the guitar recieved a slight damage to the head during the transport - it's been walsing around Europe for close to a month! - and tonight I got the word that UPS will come tomorrow to pick it up to verify this. I guess that is kinda good news but it still sucks to send away the guitar after waiting for it so long.
