An Indian Navy staffer posted at the naval headquarters in Delhi has been arrested in Jaipur for leaking sensitive defence information including details about Operation Sindoor to a Pakistani handler posing as an Indian woman on social media. Vishal Yadav, a clerk in the Directorate of Dockyard, allegedly received ₹2 lakh for leaking classified data, some of which was paid in cryptocurrency. According to officials, Yadav was lured via Facebook by a handler using the fake name "Priya Sharma". He later moved to WhatsApp and Telegram to share strategic details. The arrest followed a joint monitoring operation by national security agencies. A forensic probe has revealed digital evidence including financial transfers and confidential messages. Investigation continues.
