"Racism is still deeply entrenched and memorialised in most, if not all, the former colonial towns and cities of South Africa".
This is according to Thando Sipuye, after his visit to the Karoo Town of Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape for the burial of Dinilesizwe Sobukwe a few weeks ago.
He also observed the glaring absence of media at the funeral of Dini Sobukwe, son of the founder of the Pan Africanist Congress, Robert Sobukwe.
Sipuye, an Afrikan-centred Historian, Social Scientist is in the studio with us, welcome and in Cape Town we have Lukhanyo Calata, journalist and author of the book, 'My Father Died for This', and son of Fort Calata, who was one of the Cradock four murdered by the apartheid government.
