Today on Oobies Tips, I’m back from a long day behind the wheel driving a school bus for my local school system—and I’ve got something awesome to share! I just received a set of new Yeagulch 12.8V 300Ah LiFePO4 batteries from Amazon for my solar setup, and I want to show you exactly why I chose these over the more expensive server rack batteries.
It all comes down to cost vs. capacity. For just over $600, I picked up two of these batteries, giving me a total of 7680Wh—that’s roughly 1.5x more energy than what you'd get from a single server rack battery at a similar price. Now that I’ve added four of these to my setup, I’m rocking 15,360Wh—about the same as three server rack batteries, but at nearly half the cost!
