Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Renault Captur 2024

Описание: The Renault Captur is a partner model to Symbioz and their structure is practically identical. Euro NCAP compared both vehicles to verify that the Renault Symbioz results can be applied to Captur and performed additional tests where necessary. The footage includes video of the Renault Symbioz 2024 and additional Captur 2024 tests.

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
▶ a frontal impact test where 50% of the width of the car strikes an oncoming deformable barrier, travelling at 50 km/h
▶ a frontal impact test where the car impacts a full-width rigid barrier
▶ a side impact test where a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
▶ a pole test where the car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
▶ a whiplash test performed on a sled.

A series of pedestrian tests are also conducted with different impactors: adult and child head and lower and upper leg forms. As well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests. In 2023 a test scenario for Cyclist Dooring Prevention was introduced.

Active safety is rated based on the performance of the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car and car-to-motorcycle scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders, fatigue, distraction, and impairment), lane support, and speed assistance technologies.
